TACOS DE CARNITAS

Food origins is one of those subject matters that always fascinates me. Ever since I tried Indian food for the first time and I was convinced it was Mexican food and I was being tricked.

“This is obviously a carne guisada and some super-sized flour tortillas! And the lady making the food is a fancy-dressed Mexican mom! I will not be fooled!”

I’m sure that somewhere, somehow, ancestors of both the Indian mom and the Mexican mom colluded to fake me out. And I love that.
