LAS PASTORELAS
I one-hundred-percent do not enjoy Christmas plays. Not because of the acting or the story, but because of the poinsettias on the stage.
They take me out of the story cuz, first of all, poinsettias don’t grow anywhere near Bethlehem…and secondly, who’s going to care for them after the play?
Sure, you might think it’ll be nice to have one around, but will you be able to provide the proper micro climate they need to survive the winter? I can’t!
I’ve seen to many poinsettias die on my watch. I don’t need to be reminded of their deaths every time you put on a show.
